Say Goodbye to Glasses

Contact lenses can provide you with comfort and freedom that traditional eyeglasses may not be able to.

Our optometrist in Aurora offers comprehensive exams so we can review all of your options, make sure you are a suitable candidate, and see what type of contact lenses are best for you. We also offer fittings to make sure your contacts fit comfortably and provide you with clear, crisp vision.

During your appointment, we will also teach you how to properly insert, remove, and clean your new contact lenses. Before committing, we will offer you a couple of trial pairs of contact lenses so you can take them home and wear them for a few days.Once the trial is over, we will see you again to ensure you’re happy with your choice. If your trial pair isn’t working out, we will try other styles and brands until you are satisfied.

We carry a variety of high-end brands, including Alcon, CooperVision, and Acuvue, so you know that whatever style you choose, you’re getting a high-quality product you can trust.

Different Types of Contact Lenses

Most contact wearers use disposable lenses that have variable lifespans. Disposable lenses are available in daily, weekly, and monthly wear formats. The only difference between these lenses is the recommended length of time you should wear them before throwing them away and switching to a new pair.

Additionally, daily disposable lenses don’t need to be cleaned or stored overnight and should be thrown away at the end of the day.

Contact lenses come in soft and rigid gas permeable options. Soft lenses are the most common choice and are easier to adapt to than their rigid counterparts. Rigid gas permeable lenses are, as the name suggests, rigid lenses that can provide some patients with more precise, crisper vision than their softer counterparts. However, because they typically require a longer adjustment period, RGP contact lenses are not a good option for patients who only intend to wear their contact lenses occasionally.

If you have corneal irregularities (such as keratoconus), you may need to use specialty lenses such as multifocal or scleral contact lenses.

Different types of contact lenses have different advantages and drawbacks. To help you find the perfect pair to suit your needs, please book an appointment so we can assess your needs and go over your options with you.

Great experience, although getting to the office is a bit confusing if you aren’t familiar with the building. Dr. Jeong was attentive and responsive to my concerns. The staff there is also very friendly.
