Clear Vision is Within Your Sight

As part of our comprehensive eye exams, we evaluate your eyes for refractive errors, including myopia (nearsightedness), using a standard letter chart, and other visual acuity tests. Depending on whether or not you have a refractive error, we may also use tools like a retinoscope to determine if you are nearsighted or farsighted, or a phoropter to see what power of lens is required to correct your vision.

Myopia Control Methods

The best method for slowing the progression of myopia depends on your unique situation and lifestyle. We can help find the best solution for you to help make life a little easier.

Usually, we’ll prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses to provide you with clear vision. We may also suggest ortho-K contact lenses or prescription eye drops.

Additionally, we offer laser eye surgery consultations to see if refractive surgery can correct your myopia permanently.

If you have myopia, we’ll use an instrument called a corneal topographer to measure the surface of your cornea and design a lens that fits your eye perfectly.

Ortho-K lenses work by gently flattening your cornea, changing the way light enters the eye and temporarily improving your vision. They are designed to be worn overnight and removed in the morning so that you can enjoy clear, crisp vision all day long without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

For our pediatric patients, low-dose atropine drops can help slow the progression of myopia. Although your child will likely still need contact lenses or glasses, this treatment can help keep their prescription low.

At Envision, we accept many insurance plans such as major government insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare), most private insurance plans (United Health, Humana, Anthem BCBS, Atena) and key vision plans (VSP, Spectera and EyeMed).

We request that you provide details of your insurance at scheduling so that we may serve you better by checking your eligibility ahead of time. Please bring your insurance cards with you to your appointment

Overall the service was great. It started with getting the name pronounced correctly. Everything done up to getting the fitting for frames. It was going well until the customers prior to us needed out tech attention. The check out tech helping the customers felt the need to rudely distract our tech to ask questions in a language we could not understand first. Our tech rudely spoke back without saying to use excuse me for a moment as if he was not assisting us. This went back and forth about 5-7 minutes. The check out tech/clerk kept talking to him until he finally acknowledged us by saying excuse me and told her he will help as soon as we are done. Before he reached this point the tech did leave us to speak with the previous customers. If he was not done helping them before receiving us he should have finished the prior customers. We were very new to Envision Eye Center. The tech gave good recommendations on frames. Whichever customers are in front if are the top priority right then. If need to help others is okay just be polite on how the process is approached.
