Having your eyes examined regularly can help your eye care professional detect signs of trouble as soon as possible, which also allows them to take steps to protect your eyes from further damage or vision loss. Having a professional assess your eye health is the first step towards preventative care, and we’d love to be the ones to help you get the information you need.

Our Technology

We pride ourselves in using cutting-edge technology to serve you and your eyes better.

Optical Coherence Tomography, or OCT, is an imaging test used to examine the layers of your retina by taking cross-section pictures of your retina. This technology can help to diagnose conditions such as glaucoma or retinal diseases like age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Visual field analyzers help detect conditions like glaucoma and AMD. They test the full horizontal and vertical field of vision and can identify blind spots (called scotomas), which could be indicative of disease or brain trauma.

Along with using the most cutting-edge and high-grade technology available to provide you with top-rate eye care, the team at Envision Eye Care in Aurora works hard to make sure you feel comfortable putting your vision into our hands. We strive to provide a welcoming environment where you can find the answers and treatment you and your eyes need.

What Does an Eye Exam Entail?

When you have your eyes examined, we will conduct a series of routine tests to evaluate the status of your ocular health.

Visual acuity tests allow your eye care professional to evaluate how well your eyes can see. This test is usually performed using standard letter charts, presented both near to your face and farther away.

We will also take a look at your overall eye health and evaluate how your eyes move and respond to light. These tests will evaluate your depth perception, color vision, eye movements, light reactions, and peripheral vision.

Keratometry and corneal topography tests measure the curvature of your cornea and help us determine the type of contact lenses that will work best for you.

If you have a refractive error (such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism), we will use a refraction test to determine what prescription you require to correct your vision. We’ll use a phoropter to present you with a series of lenses, which you will help us use to determine what power of lens gives you the best clarity.

Additionally, we will perform various other tests to see how your eyes work together, assess the overall general health of your eyes, and, if necessary, recommend further tests or procedures based on our findings. Book an appointment with us today to stay on top of your eye health.

Great experience, although getting to the office is a bit confusing if you aren’t familiar with the building. Dr. Jeong was attentive and responsive to my concerns. The staff there is also very friendly.

I think this is the best optical store I have visited. The advisor JK has great sense of attention to details. My glasses’ screws were checked before handled to me because I requested them to pay attention not to change the original ones. Lenses’ choices were suggested with sincerity. Prescription was precise as well. Thank you I really appreciate it.

Very impatient with children. Doctor was very pessimistic, lacking compassion. They would not even let me pick out classes for my child. When I said we prefer a different style, they were very rude questioning why I wanted to pick the glasses.
